I absolutely love Unova. The bug and grass-type Pokemon introduced in Gen 5 are some of my favorites. I thought of adding Venipede/Whirlipede/Scolipede but there wasn't that much space. Still, I hope you like it! I've also got a couple other pics in progress...It's my first time drawing Petilil, Lilligant, Sewaddle (second time actually, but that little doodle that I quickly lost doesn't really count), and Leavanny. I've waited way too long to draw Leavanny for the first time. After sketching the Lilligant, I thought, well, I drew a Lilligant, so why not add Leavanny? I'm glad I did, since it is, in fact, the evolution of my favorite Pokemon and kinda the reason why it's my favorite.

Pinwheel Forest...based on my own playing of the games I would say that it is one of the most magical. You have clearly depicted a happy scene here.
What grabs me first is all of those happy Pokémon. Each Pokémon, however, has a different expression, whether it's the ecstatically happy Swadloon or that Cottonee who is hugging the Whimsicott. So, emotions are very well done. Also, you have looked at sizing for each Pokémon and it seems just right. It's something I struggle with in my own drawings! I also admire the paint style you have used. This is especially effective on Lilligant's flower. You have given it a glossy texture, simple lines that add detail and blended shading.
For the most part, each Pokémon is proportioned well. The Whimsicott seems a little odd, I think it's because that Pokémon usually has a rounder face, but I have nothing against putting your own spin on Pokémon! What is hard to see are the dark parts of the Leavanny and Swadloon as they merge with the background. The background is very simple and with little going on in it, apart from the trees to provide a border like backdrop. Unfortunately, this detracts from the interestingness of the piece and seems a bit dull affecting the impact I get from this picture. One of the comments below suggests adding more to the background and I agree. Maybe some trailing vines, bushes or streams of sunlight could make this piece feel more natural and magical.
Nevertheless, I really admire the technique you use to create grass. It seems to flow and wave, and I can see each blade of grass in the bottom middle section. As something I haven't got right yet traditionally, you have done really well.
This isn't the first Pokémon/forest scene I have seen, but it's certainly one of the happiest out there! Keep up the Unova love!

Thank you for the critique! Yeah, it has been noted that I could have added more to the background. Also, for the record, Whimsicott's face is round, but it's hidden a little by its horns. And yeah, I'm really proud of the Lilligant's flower, I love how I drew it. ^^

You're welcome! I tried to make it balanced and positive. I think the Whimsicott thing is more of a personal opinion than anything else, although I did check up on Nintendo's official images for the Pokémon to see how they compared. Don't worry about that though for there are many good things about this piece.

Quick suggestion: I know I'm certainly not in a place to tell you this, but for going for a forest-y look, I've seen that crowded forests are usually the way to go. Usually.
