Alrighty, as requested, here's a tutorial on how I draw satyrs!Disclaimer time: There are all sorts of ways to draw, and all kinds of different guidelines people use - this just happens to be the way I do it, and my preferred style of satyr. Hopefully it helps, or at least gets you going in the right direction. ^_^
First time doing a tutorial.
Pencil-ish lines and ink done in Manga Studio EX 3.0
Color and tutorial done in Photoshop 7.0

Well, my first Satyr character seems to have come out rather well. I don't think you know just how helpful this was for me.
What I found most helpful, whether you knew it or not, was actually with the underlying body structure. Many people have shown me how they do their sketch structure, but none of them have been as helpful or as close to my own style as yours was.
I was finally able to find out how to attach the legs to the body. All the other structures I saw and used left the hips almost blank, and I was having a very hard time connecting legs to the body. Your method has definitely improved my ability to connect legs and create hips.
So I guess... a HUGE thanks from me.

*laughs* There are people out there who can just loosely sketch a figure and have everything end up looking right. I'm not one of them; I need guidelines to get everything in the right place. Nice thing is that they're flexible - you can tweak them to fit the body type you're going for.
