Hiei grasped ahold of her, pulling her to his chest as he leaned back on the fallen tree. She looked up at him with a small smile as he actually allowed her mother the opportunity to take a picture...with him smiling.---
Yusuke grabbed the photo from Kagome and looked at it in shock. "Is that-?!"
"Yes! Now give it back!" Kagome snapped, leaping into the air after the photo.
"Oh, hell no! I gotta show Kuwabara this shit!"
Kagome ground her teeth before letting out a ear piercing scream. Immediately, without warning, Hiei was there holding his sword to Yusuke's throat.
"What the HELL did you do to her?" Hiei snarled, usually he would have killed the person, but this was Yusuke. He'd make an exception...this one time.
"Damn it I didn't do nothin'!"
Kagome snatched the photo from him and kicked him in the gut just as Hiei pulled his sword from the man's neck. "Nothing my ASS! Spying on me and trying to steal my absolute favorite picture! I should KILL you!"
Hiei sighed. "Onna, leave the detective alone. Why don't you put that picture back in your wallet where it's safe?"
Kagome smiled brightly and practically skipped away to put it away as Yusuke stood back up with a wince. "Man, I'd forgotten how hard she can hit..."
"I suggest when she wants something you give it to her, if I hadn't have known you I would have killed you."
"She didn't have to go and scream like that..."
"She can do whatever the fuck she wants. She knows that." Hiei said, sheathing his sword before crossing his arms.
"Why can't you just tell her not to do that shit unless it's an emergency?"
Hiei glanced at him and gave a snort. "If she makes it a habit to call for me she actually will when she's in trouble. Her idea of an emergency is death."

Ah, that's so sweet. I have to agree with madmiko, I think that's exactly how their relationship should be. I mean, really, she DOES only think that death is an emergency and he'll have to get used to it eventually.

I am in love with this picture! Hiei's eyes are just mesmerizing, and that little smile just blows me away. ^_^ It's such an adorable pose. The coloring is great, too. Aside from his eyes, I particularly like the way you did his hair. Love the blue in her hair, too.
