Description This is a digital negative taken of some flowers, from above, in a lil garden space outside my front door.   There are decorative rocks all around them.  This abstract became a study of form, shape, and color, as well as my feelings at the time i made it.  I've been feeling very lonely and lost, and overwhelmed with stress.  My therapist died, i adopted her cats, my landlords are mad because of it, but i have Companion Animal letter from my doctor, so they raised my rent, and are trying to force me out. I'm broke, i'm sad coz i'm stuck in my transition. My art career is kinda doing okay, i'm selling greeting cards, and i had a couple showings, but that all exhausted me. I'm trying to deal with my brain injury, and chronic pain, and Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome by hiring someone to keep me on track, but she took a leave of absence which totally thru me off, so i had to find someone else, and she and i are just getting settled in together. So, i feel like i'm in the middle of chaos.  That's what this is kinda about.

Nicely shot photo, some of the colors fit well with each other except for the green and black flowers, I feel like they stick out sore thumbs but other then that it looks really nice. The filter is maybe a little too disorienting since you can't really tell that some of them are flowers until closer inspection, but it doesn't take away from the look of the photo too much. I hope this critique helps somewhat! I don't know much about photography and don't really know anything about taking a good picture. Remember, there's always room for improvement and growth!

Well, it is called flower "abstract" for a reason, lol.  I kinda agree about the green and black forms, they were stubborn, and no matter what color scheme i chose, they refused to be anything but dark green and black, which was very strange.  The flowers are so abstracted because i took this as a negative.  My Polaroid has a "Negative" function, which basically takes the photo in the same tones as if it were an analogue camera negative.  I love how disorienting and strange those kinda photos are, and how easily they are to manipulate into something truly bizarre.

Sorry about that, I didn't think about that when I was typing the critique, it still looks rather nice and fits the emotions you felt at the time.

This is a fine abstract which speaks of the chaos that life can be. Memories, thoughts, emotions, hopes, dreams, suffering all rolled into one complicated, interconnected mass of being but your spirit shines through as a testimony to your strength.

I hope things start to look up for you. Life can be really hard on you sometimes and all you can do is just try your best to get through it.
