This is definitely a sweep of a storm with some rain in various places. Because of the massive storm, the scene is quite dynamic to watch. While the land down below remains quiet, the sky definitely captures the attention of a viewer.
There is quite bit of a contrast between the terrain and the storm clouds. While the landscape looks quite natural in terms of its colors, the clouds appear ghostly with a combination of light and dark colors. The open land with trees and vegetation definitely looks quite clear; however, there is quite bit of fuzziness in the storm clouds. The clouds with their less definite outlines appear as if they had been a part of a painting. There are some blotches of white color in the clouds that are not quite sharp. The top and bottom halves of the photo show sharp differences as if both the clouds and the terrain are independent of one another.
Since storms are beautiful to watch, this is definitely a perfect capture! e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

It was...we have had some very unsettled weather and a blizzard last Monday and snow again today. This is a late spring for us this year...and this snow is getting damned monotonous.
BUT...it won't last!

Now this makes me sooo happy...I'm glad you liked it...this means a lot. It was a nasty storm, and the thing is, up here in the north you see clouds like this, black, which is generally driving rain, and smudgy white streaking in between that can be snow or hail. To some this phenomenon appears as an out of focus cloud, but in fact, that is exactly how the clouds appear to the naked eye. The storms of spring in the north, can be volatile, with mixtures of high winds, driving sleet, hail or snow along with rain. So...you just made me very happy...thank you.

It was kind of wicked, but didn't do any damage other than to the spirits of people waiting for spring.LOL
