Description
Finally I have got some photos of these scars healed. Wiring Diagram and Endless Knot both done by the amazing Timb Wilton. You can see how both scars healed differently. I love the way they have turned out.
If you look through my other photos you will find both of these scars freshly done.
If you have any questions, happy to try and answer them.

For those with questions about how this is done etc- she actually answered alot of your questions on the last pages of the comments - you should check them out- she is very informative.
And grats on the dd for your lovely photo Kitty- your scars turned out beautifully. I like how the circuitry stands out much for than the knot but they are both well done.

I didn't know you could actually get scars put onto your body in that way... that's cool!

Did it hurt a lot? More or less than a tattoo? Β In any case... it's beautiful. I especially love the Endless Knot.Β

Something that I think is very interesting is that the circuit (wiring diagram) would work.Β It's a diode rectifier, a circuit that turns AC into Smooth DC.Β

What a way to disfigure a body. Did you really get an electrical diagram ETCHED into your stomach? Sorry, but wtf?

Do whatever you want with your body, let others do what they want with theirs. It's a matter of personal opinion.Β
For example when girls get breast implants i go like "wtf i wish i had a flat chest why would you do that it's disgusting" but it's their body, and I like small breasts; also it's their self esteem, not mine; i PERSONALY dislike big breasts, but it's their body, and for them they're making it more beautiful, because beauty is a relative concept. I have a thin athletic body with a BB cup, and i wish i had a smaller chest, im an athlet, and i see beauty differently, and my ambitions with my body are different, and not everybody thinks they're beautiful or right, but it's my body and i don't give a shit, having breasts is unconfortable for me; it is not my goal to have a body to attract attention, i fact im very masculine and i scare people away on purpose. That's what I like to do, others will enlarge their breasts and they'll feel beautiful while others will think they're ruining their body; they are not, because beauty, as i said, it's a relative concept depending on the person that's judging it.
I don't think she ruined her body, when i saw it i though "how beautiful" so here, you see, our concepts are different therefore we both are right to be entitled to our own opinion, but don't comment on this kind of pictures saying the person desfigured their body, because that's what YOU think, and it's a hurtful comment.
In my opinion, she is freaking beautiful and those patterns are creative, i don't care if it's a electrical circuit, the composition and harmony that creates going with her tatoos is very appealing for me, her shape and skin tone also suits well, so as you see somebody can think she is beautiful, therefore her body isn't ruined.
It's impossible to agree with averybody, we all have different opinions and that's perfectly alright, but don't judge what others do with their bodies, that's their problem and their choice.

Hahaha insulting me only proves my point ^^ Please grow up darling, it seems you can't be polite when expressing your opinion like i did; even when disagreeing (and clearly you don't have enough brain cells to understand my comment OO) when i posted that comment i saw people like you coming, the internet is so hilarious~
Don't even try to start an argument with me because i will end it before it starts, not because you get the last reply it means you are right nor that you won, and insulting me won't make you look any more mature, in fact it makes you look desperated, and stupid; so save youself the shame and grow a spine.
I won't even read the next reply you send, you won't win this argument no matter how many insults and "points" you try to prove, so, adios

The only reason I don't believe this should get a DD, is because the art was done by someone else. With that said, we're just looking at grainy, amateur photo, of a blank canvas.Β

Unlike other photography-based galleries, Body Art submissions are typically not "professional" quality images of Traditional Art. The *wearer* of the art or the Artist is often getting the only photo they can of their work without benefit of a full studio set up.

I'm not even looking at it in a professional perspective. This shot does absolutely nothing to show the depth or color of the model's body modifications. If she really wanted to show it off, she could have at least faced a light source.

I didn't know that scarification was still a thing. They're cool, but I do want to ask why. Not a judgemental thing, but what led you to choosing scarification as a method of body modification? I'm intensely curious. ^_^

It always surprises me how controversial these types of images become when they get DDs. Haha XD
I personally see this as a unique, intriguing form of art, even though I would never do it myself. For people who consider it self harm, it really is conceptually the same as getting a tattoo. As long as it's done professionally and safely, it's fine, in my opinion.

lux-ex-machina In reply to Birdie121 [2013-10-24 18:58:47 +0000 UTC]
Exactly! Self harm is an attempt to alleviate emotional pain or, in some cases, even to punish oneself. Scarification done by a professional for the purpose of body modification really isn't too far from getting a tattoo, like you said. Completely different motives, and done by a qualified professional. Some people try to accomplish the same effect by getting a white ink tattoo and it often backfires because the ink just yellows over time, so at least this actually works...
I'm still a little iffy on scarification, but definitely more open to it than when I first learned about it.
