Description
Finally I have got some photos of these scars healed. Wiring Diagram and Endless Knot both done by the amazing Timb Wilton.You can see how both scars healed differently. I love the way they have turned out.
If you look through my other photos you will find both of these scars freshly done.

It's no different from a tattoo or piercing, and just as permanent. It's simply more subtle. Why wouldn't she?

I imagine it would be, yes. No worse than a tattoo, however, so I can't imagine it would be anything to panic over. And it's a very beautiful result for the effort.

I'm annoyed by how people criticize anything they are not familiar with. As if this is any worse than tattoos. It's just another form of body art. If anything, it is less dangerous and more natural than tattoos. I think it's pretty, and probably feels nice when you touch it.

I don't think scarification is any more or less 'natural' than tattooing really, people have been finding ways to do both for hundreds and hundreds of years. In a Western context they are both fairly recent adoptions, of course. And I think that scarification would be more dangerous than tattooing, and much harder to do properly (not to mention finding someone trained and able to do it properly). I do agree though, both are awesome. I'm glad this has got the attention it has, I'm sure it's opened some people's eyes.

I imagine that wouldn't be a public question for the artist to answer, especially when assumed so bluntly. My my. Could we possibly just appreciate the art without assumptions or insult? (Not, of course, that I imagine you were aiming to insult her. But it was a bit uncouth to put it in that way. Or indeed at all, since it wouldn't be your business.)

Rude questions like the one you posted are, though legal, considered trolling.Β To answer your question, this art has nothing to do with the artist being emotionally damaged.Β Artists have different ways of expressing themselves, and this is her way.Β If you happen to not like the artist's form of expression, you are free to share your opinion.Β
If you share your opinion in a destructive way (like the way you asked if the artist was emotionally damaged), your opinion will be less likely to be taken seriously, people will think less of you, and there will be the possibility of banishment from deviantART if you continue with such comments.Β
However, if you present your disagreement in a constructive way, not only will it be more likely to be taken seriously, but it will look professional, and will most likely not insult the artist (or anyone else who may stumble across that comment).Β If done correctly, such a constructive critique will demand respect.Β This will greatly enhance people's positive opinion of you.

Just because you can say something freely. Doesn't mean you should say it. It sickens me to see someone just insult someone for a decision they made. I plan to dye my hair black. Not a fan of the wire personally, but the endless knot is INCREDIBLE. The artist did a fantastic job, the lines are so clean it almost looks like white ink instead of scars. I wish I was this brave!

First of all I have to say that I like your smooth skin and even tone. Second, your figure is gorgeous. Third, I like how all of your tattoos and scarring sync so well together.
So, how does the scarring work? Do you fill it with color when you're finished or just leave it as is?

The scarification looks very nice, but that metal spot on the right of your belly button is something I would get rid of if I were you.

I've always had a bad idea about scarification, everyone I know and all the TV programs are just like.. 'BADBADBADBAD' we're always told that it's ugly, we always see gross photos of infected things and all..Β

How come that they have healed so differently? The Endless Knot seems to be flat while the Wiring Diagram looks like it is more bulked. .. Are they made differently?

I actually prefer the looks of scarification to tattoos, but only wish I could have the pain tolerance for it ^^ I love the wiring diagram!
