WarriorsRewritten is a project between myself, Iycanroc and tori-oislove , that aims to to fill plot holes, fix inconsistencies, and apply proper feline genetics to the random sparklecats of the Warriors universe.

We also hope to introduce some amusing headcanons, because not everything is all seriousness and drama. ;D

Another thing the books lack, is diversity in the romances. It's like, "blah blah's been spending time together POOF KITTENS" for the background cast, and don't get me STARTED on the main characters' affairs. Drama drama and moooore drama. FireheartxSandstorm is a simple courtship compared to several that came along later (the SquirrelxBramble tug-o-war, the CinderxLion oh-noes-drama etc) but it was still riddled with sooo. muuuch. draaaama. So much for death, eh, Spottedleaf?

Anyway, our main problem - the unneeded drama aside - is that ALL the courtships are EXACTLY alike. They start the same way, and they culminate the same way. We seek to redeem that, by giving the characters romantic preferences, suave courting styles, and more down-to-earth confessions that not ALWAYS happen on the eve of battle.

Soooo, headcanon time~ ;w;

Redtail began to crush on Brindleface when he was still an apprentice, and he was desperate to become a warrior so he had a real shot with her; afterall, Brindleface was drop-dead gorgeous for a she-cat right? uvo Anyway, being three moons younger than her, Redtail was pretty self-conscious about being the younger part for the longest time, so he tended to overcompensate with his courting. And like the little genius he was, he resorted to kitty pick-up lines. Genius it was, because Brindleface delighted in having her vanity stroked, while at the same time slowly being enarmoured by his declarations. She played her share of hard to get for a while, but by then Redtail knew it was only a matter of time, and the rest is history. <3
