Description I kind of like Monotone characters, the kind of characters who always talk in the same tone but at the same time express themselves in an unique way. It's sometimes their snark, their dry comments or their lack of showing emotion in response while they should can come off as really funny. I just drew the three characters who did this best in my opinion in one picture.

Raven from Teen Titans you all saw coming. She is the best example. While I like her backstory and emotional turmoil, she can be very funny. She is a snarker and she is sarcastic. Some of my favorite types of humor. Her quotes are meme-worthy!

Raven: Evil, beware! We have waffles!

Believe me, that never gets old. I don't think it would have been as funny if Raven had put more emotion in that phrase.

Next is Maud Pie from My Little Pony Friendship is magic. She is the sister of the cooky Pinkie Pie but she's totally opposite. She is monotone and true to her heritage on a rock farm is an expert on minerology. Though despite their different personalities she cares deeply for her sister, and smashed a freakin rock with bare hooves to save her. Maud Pie is one of my favorite episodes in season four because Maud is so fun.

Odd thing is, Tara Strong, Raven's voice actor, voices one of the main characters, and she knows how to do monotone but she does not do the voice for Maud. Odd...

Matilda from the Sonic Archie comics, Mighty's long lost sister. She is also very tragic, her parents dead, seperated from her brother, raised loveless in an orphanage until she was roboticized, but eventually later legionized. Unfortunately her upbringing has left her almost emotionless. Her face expresses that she probably speaks monotone. IN fact when the Baron was teleported away in front of her, she just flatly replied, without any change in her expression: 'Baron?' which was a funny scene.

Though at first uncaring towards Mighty since she has no memories to him, and though I found it to be a little harsh on her part...she is still an interesting character and probably one of my favorite Ian Flynn Characters. I don't like his writing but when he does something interesting, he does it good.Β

She is not, she is a character from the Sonic the hedgehog archie comics, it says so in the artist's comment. Do the reading!

Perhaps you should think or read things more through or do a bit of research next time, it would make things far less awkward.Β

What shall we call this trio then? Team Deadpan?

It already has a name, the monotones remember? That's what the title is.

Raven should be flight, but both Maud and Tilly are strenght characters...so who is the speed type?Β

I'm bringing Matilda in my own fanfic somewhere down the line, but its still far away...My fanfic turned out really big and I don't always have the time to work on them, mostly because of my job leaving me too tired to write during the week. How do you get the energy or time to update so quickly?

Team Deadpan works right?

Whoever's the fastest.Β

Simple, I have loads of spare-time and a LOT of motivation. Β

It could also work, yes.

Then probably Maud should have it. Raven is only fast in the air, but not on the ground, and Matilda...those cybernetics aren't probably giving her a speed boost. That and equines are very fast by nature.

I have motivation, just not a lot of spare time. It's not that I don't want to write, a job tires me out. But it's better then having no job.

I see.

If I could have my way, I'd just do my own thing all the time.Β

Unfortunately life doesn't work that way, otherwise I'd do it too. Life takes responsibilities, it's unavoidable.
