Description
A Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) has taken a Mallard duckling (Anas platyrhynchos).Nature can be cruel sometimes.
I missed the shot I wanted by a millisecond..Where the poor duckling was tossed down the throat

This is the mark of a true nature photographer. The ability to push the shutter button when something gruesome or upsetting is happening. To be a true observer and not flinch.

Lol, That's why I like how I can hold the button on my camera and it takes like 6-7 frames per second. Cool shot!

This is my new camera and I am still learning the ins and outs of it..
At the time I forgot how to change to high speed continuous shooting and was on standard aperture priority..
I think it was a mixture of adrenalin and fear that I would miss the shot that made me forget

My daughters weren't to keen on the bird after they saw it capture and eat its prey
