that contrast boost and sharpening i think may have pushed the photo from a good photo to an awesome photograph.

Oh wow this is really nice! I do have a couple suggestiosn for ya. Drop the curves down some, it will make it have a lil more contrast and give it some extra added punch. Second, sharpen it up. Do that and you have a perfect photo! This is just stunning!
