Description
I bet a lot of you weren't expecting this photograph from me were you? It's been a long time hasn't it? Those of you who are long time DA followers (and I mean LONG time followers will recall I started out with retro photography on here)Yesterday we had a really nice snowfall here in Denver and I have had this shot in my head for quite some time now. It is kind of crazy how I took it but here goes---This was actually photographed using my HTC One-V. Yes, my Droid. I then went ahead and edited in SnapSeed & Streamzoo. Both apps are wonderful by the way, go grab them (free too!) I then downloaded the photograph and brought it inside Photoshop for some local contrast and curves adjustment and that be about all. I wanted an image that was very true to form as far as retro photography and had a very traditional look & feel about it....a fine line where the textures would look film like but going farther in that it would hint at almost a wet media Polaroid style transfer. I have always been a huge fan of this sort of photography & art, harking back to my days as an illustrator. I am also a very huge proponent of iPhone/Droid photography and firmly believe it is as much as a valid photographic medium as anything else. It is about having the right tool for the job if you will. I think I will make a print of this on some good textured watercolor paper, should look pretty neat! I hope you all like it.

Nice shot. That '63 looks like it might still be restorable.

It is, though I would leave it flat black and probably just fix some of the rust. It's a wagon too, so surfboards are a must.
