Description
As the name suggests, this is a redesign I did of Link trom the Twilight Princess game. I thought transforming into a wolf was pretty cool, but I would have preferred to see something more along the lines of this drawing. As you can see, I combined wolf Link's symbols with Midna's (at the end of the game) skin color.For once, I actually spent some time on a background... I don't like it. It distracts from the character, but I am not sure what else I can do...

I don't know... anatomy is hell sometimes. I honestly know what's wrong with my anatomy in a picture, but it's so hard to get right that I usually just give up and call it quits.
I haven't ever studied anatomy before, but I think it's essential to take it if you want to be a professional artist so it's great that you're taking it (but yet it still sucks at the same times, becasue it's anatomy).

i'm not actually taking a course in anatomy (although i wish i were, it would make it easier somewhat). i'm studying from various anatomy books from the library (good thing they have 'em 'cause they're so expensive to buy).
i know what you mean! you know it's wrong but it's impossible to fix unless you have some kind of reference to fix it. i had just finished studying the torso so it was relatively simple to draw based on my memory 'cept now i probably can't do 'cause it's not fresh in my mind... although i'm getting there... very very slowly.
after anatomy, i'll need to study perspective... i hate perspective...

Yeah, perspective is the worst! I mean, if you mess up on perspective it's like... one little line off and it makes the whole picture look bad! It's very different from drawing other things.
Yeah, anatomy books are pretty expensive. Luckily, my sister and my mom buy them so I just mooch off of them! lol. I don't know why I draw so much... I've really taken drawing up as a hobby lately. I'd write more, but I really try to be a perfectionist with my writing and that kind of takes some of the fun out of the experience... I like that drawings a hobby of mine because then I don't have to worry about making it look so perfect. I can just... do it for fun.
Sorry, rambling... I do that a lot. *sigh*

the problem with buying anatomy books is that the stores usually don't have the ones i need, and the internet doesn't allow you to look through the book before buying... there are some pretty crappy anatomy books out there, and i don't want to accidentally buy a crappy one online...

Yeah, I don't mooch that much though... I have so many teen magazines where there's always guys and girls in their swimsuits, which is weird, but it helps me to draw the anatomy sometimes.
You know what? I should ask my sister some time for books she'd recommend on anatomy and let you know.

a lot of people recommend body building magazines as reference for anatomy... i've never had enough energy to go and actually check them out.

Oh yeah, I've bought a few of those. Not for drawing... for a paper I had to write about on a type of magazines, which happened to be body building.

thing is, giant muscles creep me out... that's why i don't particularly want to get body building magazines, even if it is for art.
