Wow.

Love your work and your tutorial, but helpful and inspiring. Do you print out your reference image to measure it properly against the paper you are working on or do you size it appropriately on your screen and measure from there? I'm trying new techniques and want to see what works best. For a piece I'm working on it's your influence and Drew Struzan (you both have great line work).

Really awesome tutorial. What brand from are this "soft brushes" and the "Paper pen" ?

kleinmeli In reply to lil-cappi [2013-03-04 02:21:12 +0000 UTC]
I don't know...The paper pen is a no name thing and I sadly can't read the name of the rubber pen anymore, but you can find both in any shop that sells art supplies. If that fails, just look online !

Thank you. THANK YOU.
(I'm trying to draw a portrait, but I screwed it up really badly and I'll have to start over... I really need to be more patient and try to work with layers. Thanks for that tip).
This has been really helpful you know, looking at this makes me realize that sketches from talented people aren't too different from mine, so that's no the problem... it makes me feel kinda relieved. Some day I might become skilled, too

number 13 is an eraser pencil ? how to you sharpen it?
π: 0 β©: 1
kleinmeli In reply to Ain392 [2012-08-20 11:07:31 +0000 UTC]
You sharpen it just like a normal pencil.
π: 0 β©: 1
Ain392 In reply to kleinmeli [2012-08-20 11:19:03 +0000 UTC]
oh I see I thought because it would be so "rubbery" it would just bend when you're gonna sharpen it XD I actually saw this somewhere hmm I might buy it ..it's good to erase little parts that are hard to reach for normal eraser or just to add hightlight for some details I think.
