Sean Astin commented to paraphrase "you shoot a scene set in winter it's invariably 110 degrees out. You shoot scene about summer it's freezing" guess the same kind of thing applies to lighting.

How did you make it look like nighttime if it was in the blistering sun? I ask because you sure did a great job of it! Now my only problem is that the sword hilt looks kinda bent. XD I like how the ring and necklace not only look legit, but they also look expensive!

This week I was just watching the Trilogy (Director's Cut, over 11 hours of film). You make a compelling Frodo... although I think the lighting of "The One Ring" could be enhanced a bit. It's almost lost in this focal depth.

I aggree, if i reshoot i'll put a strobe with a snoot on the ring, and get a bigger ring too

i'm not against photoshop at all, but if work can be avoided by taking a few minutes of extra preparation during the shoot, gladly. Stuff that can't be done without photoshop, just do it in photoshop.

Understood. It's better to start with the best possible work and add enhancements where necessary rather than use Photoshop as a crutch to make up for lazy or weak design/composition.
That's a truth I keep trying to remind my self of...
