A scene my friend and I thought about back when Obstagoon was first revealed. Decided to start it recently and finish it just in time for Sword and Shield’s release today!
My favorite type of pokemon fanart is when people do scenarios of people in any kind of typical, casual, daily life setting with pokemon involved or helping in some way. It’s endlessly charming and sheds even more light on the world of pokemon. Oh, and bonus points if there’s parodies, puns on real life things, and fictional brands in the pic, too lol

You PUNKS better look at this in absolute full-view and see all the cool details and hard work my friend put into this. I know most of you just glance at images for two seconds before faving shit and calling it a day. Filthy mobile users in particular are guilty of this. Anyway, BILLY, YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS. The coloring and lighting is gorgeous and your human style is wonderful. I freakin’ love how the humans look like their pokemon! Not-Gene Simmons looks like he's having fun. I don't think the drummer has quite gotten his Grookey's respect yet, though. Also, that fluffy Obstagoon and GROOKEY BUTT!!!!
The makeup artist is even wearing a headset like a real “agent” or whatever and the texture on the couch is so comfy too… the entire pic is so comfy actually. You took the concept of “a rock band backstage getting ready with their pokemon before they probably go out on stage and start screaming death metal” and made it ABSOLUTELY COMFY. I’m getting hungry thinking about “KINGLER” fast food as well!
Roxie having a Toxtricity is honestly just so perfect on many levels and I hope they give one to her in the probably-inevitable Unova remakes some day.
I don’t really even know where to begin with all those posters and magazines except that I’m still mega-proud of Ledy Baba and Klink-182 asdfghjklasdfghjkl but I hope you’re fucking proud of the details you put into them because hOLY SHIT. The puns/parodies you came up with yourself are fantastic too!! “Cradle of Muk” “GRASSKNOT” omg. You draw the cutest Klink I’ve ever seen btw, and you went the extra mile on that Vapor(eon)wave poster lmao. It’s not even just the NAMES either – you changed other words on the posters and magazine covers to add to the pokemon punnyness and I just????? HAVE A HUGE STUPID GRIN ON MY FACE. YOU EVEN MADE A POKEMON BRAND OF HAIRSPRAY. There’s a billion things to say about this and I will marry all of it AND you!!! This is one of those pics that I think any pokemon fan could appreciate because they’d easily pick up on the puns and hidden references AND music fans could get a kick out of it too.
