Description
Just some practice with colors. When I practice, I seem revert back to my comfort zone: four-footed animals! In this case horses, deer, ibex, and a nameless oryx-unicorn character that I've had in my brain for a few months. It's nice to get him down on paper. All of these were sketched on paper first, then painted over or colored in Photoshop. I tried to leave the original lines on the deer, but it didn't really turn out. Oh well! That's what practice is for!
thanks for looking!

ibex referenced from pictures on google and arkive.org www.arkive.org/nubian-ibex/cap… (I think, although I can't find the exact pose)
deer poses referenced from limited-vision-stock.deviantar… by daftopia , tristin-stock.deviantart.com/a… by tristin-stock and for the life of me, I can't find the other one.
I used this color palette for the unicorn--s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/2…
And some of the colors and styles are inspired by bear65 's beautiful work.

Beautiful!!! If this is practice, you should practice more often! Amazing color and line for the horse, and I especially love the backdrop on the ibex. You have a gift, my friend. The Unicorn is really majestic. The fantasy writer half of me is going crazy! Keep it up!

Thank you very much! You're so kind. I guess I call it practice because I wasn't really focusing on anything but the color theory.
