That is the best Cover I've seen out of all of the other's and this is the first time I've seen it.

It's old, the anatomy is bad, the lines are rough/jagged and the colors are bland. I'm kind of offended you would think such a piece as this is better than some of the work I've done recently. It's like a slap in the face of all the work I've done to improve.

You just gotta be careful when you tell folks, especially the authors/artists, when you think something ancient of theirs is better than something they're presently working on. It's not a bad thing to like it on its own, but it's kind of a jab at the creator when you say it's better than more recent work. It's like you're saying we haven't learned anything, even if you don't mean it that way, and that hurts.

Back when I did this page, I just inked by hand and colored in Photoshop. Now I ink and color in Sai. Photoshop has been relegated to just being the tones/text program.

Quick question considering how much your skills have improved have you ever thought of coming back and redrawing maybe the first 3 or 4 chapters later on possibly after you've finished the comic?

This version is actually already the second time ive drawn the comic. I've thought about re-inking ch1-3 though since I didn't start using Sai till ch4, but I dunno yet. It's a lot of work and it'll still look bad compared to any recent chapter I do. Folks would kill me if I suggested fixing them again.

Ahhh....that particular piece (and everything from Ch1 through Ch3) was done with pencil and pen, then colored/toned in Photoshop. Everything after Ch3 is inked and colored digitally with Paint Tool Sai, with tones/text still in Photoshop cuz Sai doesn't support text (and I have a system for tones there.)

Ichigo is not a Vasto Lorde, first and foremost. He is a human with Hollow powers, and the form he fought with is simply the form his Inner Hollow took when it overpowered Ichigo's will to stay in control.
But, yes, that is Ulquiorra's Hollow form from before Aizen turned him into an Arrancar. Kubo gave us Ulquiorra's backstory in a character book that was released this month.

actually ur kinda wrong, ichigo is human, but his soul happens to be a soul reapers, which first getting his power from rukia, but then soon lossing them and gaining them back by himself with kisukes help, kisuke warned ichigo it was dangerous due to the fact he could possible turn into a hollow, during the process, ichigo was turning into a hollow till his will power succeed him to turn into a soul reaper with his hollows form, and ichigo tentically a vizard ( which the vizard where experiments captains and luetenuents of the soul society turned by aizen experiment which kisuke was able to help them making them not turn into hollows but be vizards), but ichigo has the ability to turn into a vasto lordes due to his hollows pure form well he tentically doesnt has the ability it was more like a break? well u know Ulquiorra blasted that whole in his chest and orihime of course calling his name causing him to pull thru but his hollow takes over ( which his hollow became stronger ten fold due to him being in that place and yea.... i got carried away sry lol

He's not a Vasto Lorde. Vasto Lordes are born through the consumption of other Hollows, and Ichigo (nor his Inner Hollow) have ever done so. He's just a ridiculously overpowered main character.
And he's not recognized as a Shinigami either, just an honorary Substitute.

He has Shinigami powers, but since he's not dead, and not officially a part of Seireitei, he's not legitimately a Shinigami. It's like someone wearing a military uniform and saying they're part of the army...you can wear the suit, but that doesn't mean you're enlisted.
People want to say Ichigo's a Visored too but that's not right. Can't be a Visored unless the group accepts him amongst their ranks...the name is more like a club name than a classification of what they are. Hiyori insisted on that much...just like Ulquiorra insisted that "It's normal for humans and Shinigami to mimic Hollows in order to gain power, but...no matter what you do, no matter how close your moves might be to ours, you will never be a Hollow. You are only human." ...and therefore not a Vasto Lorde.

Best part is that Orihime actually said those lines...I had entirely forgotten about them till I randomly went and read over the Grimmjow fight again. I was like "Lol oh Orihime, you're using UlquiLogic. You don't exist in Kurosaki's world. Time to move on."
