Description
an update of accumulation of crap on my jacket.Modifications are mine, the jacket was purchased from Wilson's Leather
*A sad update, this poor guy finally let physics catch up with him, he know lies in ribbons on the shop floor

This is the one that brought me to your gallery. All kinds of coolness, especially since I have always thought that a jacket says more about the wearer than any other clothing item. It's something worth going out of the way to get something that reflects the tastes of the person wearing it While some parts are more grungy than what I'm used to, a lot of it is still something I'd totally wear. It's rare to find such details in a leather jacket unless you're willing to pay a four-digit figure for it (believe me, I've tried
)
I wonder if you still do this kind of thing. While I have no big spendings on my list anytime soon, it might be something for me to consider in the future if I ever want to commission someone for something as unique as my (and clearly - your) fashion tastes

Thank you very much! I occasionally work in leather, but I have been dedicating all my spare time with Oil painting. Leather is a very expensive art. I'd like to do it more often but I just don't have the space or the cash to develop like I used to.

I can only imagine the cost Even just a standard leather jacket from no major brand will rarely cost any less than $150 if you want it to be at least a decent one (Anything cheaper is likely not good or even real leather, or poorly stitched
) And then sourcing more of it for the accessories bumps up the cost too (not to mention having to find leather that matches the jacket in colour and texture) I got as far as designing my own on the computer, and then asked around online for custom jacket makers to tell me what would the expected cost be. Only two of the half-dozen I asked even responded. One wanted a phenomenal $1'800
Granted they were the most reputable-looking one of the lot and had some excellent examples of past custom work in their gallery, if I was loaded with money to spare I would have gotten it anyway. But I can't justify spending five weeks worth of paychecks on one jacket
The other asked for a more modest $500 or so which seemed perfect, but for some reason they just didn't respond to my further questions even after I told them I was happy with the price

Really awesome work! I agree this should be in a Mad Max remake if it ever happens.
Without a doubt the coolest leather jacket ever!

This is an interesting amount of leather work and details. I could actually imagine this being in a Road Warrior movie (or even a remake if it ever happened).

Could you imagine how great it could be if they did remake it!
With all the movie making improvements that have been achieved over the years, a remake or even a new chapter in the series could turn out great!

Mel Gibson has to make a cameo, maybe as the leader of some occult tribe. And Maybe Kevin Coster could be seen sailing down a little river on a raft with a lemon plant!

Spoofs and cameos would be hilarious!
Should have references to other post apocalyptic movies and games too!
Some being... and not limited to...
The Road
The Book of Eli
A Boy and His Dog
Previous Road Warrior movies
Water World
Fallout series
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
As a joke it would be funny to see a wreaked DeLorean, looking to be the one from Back to the Future... being pushed into a random building somewhere in the background...
Also throw in to other references where appropriate.

It's just stitching and rivets. Everything is simply detail work.
