I hope there will be some of them left... by mid-February, when I am in Abisko.

You're quite good at this I see. Such things are not to be taken for granted. So many of us in the world will never see such a vision live. Can you tell me, since most videos I see of this phenomenon are "time-lapse," when you are there watching, can you see the movement or is it extremely slow?

Hi and thank you for your comments!

The light differs from time too time. Sometimes all you see is a green "belt" that moves very slowly. But at other times it's very active and "dances" at great speed across the sky, changing color and shapes by the second. This is the light we wait for and love to watch.

A marvel to watch, and I hope as many as possible get a chance to view this.

Thank you for explaining about how the lights appear in person. That would be delightful to see. Lovely photos. Thanks for sharing.

Hei Daniel, I was wondering which camera lens and settings you used to take this picture, if you had any other tips I would be interested. As I live in TromsΓΈ and are planning to take many pictures this winter.
kind regards

Hi!.

i only have a sigma 10-20mm wide lens, so that was used for this.
As for settings i always set it to "bulb" mode and stop after 12-15 seconds. ISO between 200-400. Important to turn off autofocus as i does not work at night. So set it at manual and the focus to infinity. Always use a tripod.
