oh well that's much better than coming closer...and closer and closer, til it wraps it's arms around you and NEVER lets go, innit?

that's so stark.

Thank you!
No filters...just the RAW editor in PS.
I really do want to get a few filters, though...IR, and polarizer to begin with!!

Hahahaaa that's great! I rember the walking trees of Tolkien's books. If you don't watch him, he maybe runs away.
Well captured!

Good capture and processing, I think that the vignetting helps a lot with this shot.

I like it and the whole "Tree Beard" comment had me laughing. I'd like to see a little less vignetting at the top and there is some banding going on in the sky.(fix that by bringing it in at 16bits then convert to 8 before saving) You think I could hitch a ride on it's trunk?

Konijntje In reply to Digital-DreamCaster [2006-03-25 20:52:36 +0000 UTC]
yeah...I saw that banding in this and a few others...but not until my raw file was already saved with the vignetting...so, is that what a tree beard is?

Digital-DreamCaster In reply to Konijntje [2006-03-26 18:02:46 +0000 UTC]
More or less, yah. You should look up some screen shots of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" for some pictures of Treebeard....that way you'll understand even if you are not a fan of the stories.
