I was 19 for the first drawing and now I'm 29. 2003 was also my first year on DeviantART. I think I still have a lot of improving to do, maybe in another 10 years I'll redraw it again.

But yeah, huge improvement, especially in the fact that he actually looks like a kangaroo now. Does he spike his ear hair too?

the older one looks a lot more dynamic but the newer one is very clean

the quality has improved ten fold, but personally I like the attitude in the eyes and snout of the older one.... i dunno why, but the newer one seems softer, less menacing. As I type this i realize that might have been what you were going for, if so, then HUZZAH!
Either way, this meme just goes to show that continued practice makesus better in all areas and en devours. Good Job homie!

I am doing well, kinda annoyed at Photoshop Elements 9 since I cant figure out how to use the blender tool properly, or find a good texture for tree bark. Other than that tho things are good and I am hard at work illustrating a children's book my sister wrote. It's not as good as it could be due to the aforementioned PSE9 problems, but I take some respite in the fact that if it goes to a publisher they'll likely scrap my art in favor for someone much better, and I wont be embarrassed in front of the entire world.

plans are in the works, not sure how soon, but dA will probably be my main hub when it finally happens.Β been toying with the idea of doing a webcast/youtube series that follows me as i learn to draw/concept/color and try to publish a digital comic.Β also waiting on wacom to restock the cintiq 13hd's so i can really go to town, but it doesnt sound like they will get any until next month.Β
