The still image looks stunning on it's own. Thinking you can walk through it with 30 fps is even more stunning.
BUT ... I never understood why game makers try to create more and more realistic scenes. Yes, of course, the »eye factor« IS definitely stunning. But the games that will be produced with such overkill graphics? I never understood what's so funny about »Far Cry 3« which is - with all honest respect - to me little more than a graphics demo.
On the other side there are - admitted old - games like »Quake«, »Quake 2« or »Descent 3« which have rough partly to the point of abstraction polygon graphics ... but those games are fun to play. There are games like »Mirrors Edge« which have a nice graphics without polygon overkill ... BUT with an edge, with a style. There are games like »Dead Space (1)« which also do not have graphics overkill ... BUT with a mood driven graphics. In my humble opinion this is thousand times more valuable than the next overkill graphics demo. So graphics designers should go for a graphics which drives the mood of the game (Mirrors Edge, Dead Space) not for graphics on it's own.
Just my two cents.

Have no idea why. Making such graphics make me feel good. And I'am also like games like Gothic 2 and Morrowind
