It's based on the linked picture (or the sketch that came before it) but I did not make this particular piece.

How do you make contour lines look so ... smooth?
π: 0 β©: 1
KP-ShadowSquirrel In reply to Scrap-Lord [2014-03-21 14:57:45 +0000 UTC]
I draw them in one sweep, using my whole arm and not just the wrist. It may be necessary to try several times to get a line right, but that's what ctrl-z is for

Scrap-Lord In reply to KP-ShadowSquirrel [2014-03-21 16:41:37 +0000 UTC]
I meant how do you make the transition so smooth, the contours are there but don't stick out, when I'm drawing contours they mostly just a black line... but thank you anyway. And yes, by now Iβm best friends with the reverse button

KP-ShadowSquirrel In reply to Scrap-Lord [2014-03-23 09:55:08 +0000 UTC]
Ah, I see. The contours are drawn in a dark bluish gray and on a separate layer. That layer is set to "mulitply" and to a transparency of something between 50% and 80%. The colors are then painted on a layer below that.
