Well, the way to do that would be a thumbnail.
Look under the Featured In groups list beside the picture, and under the Details list: you can see Link, Thumb, and Embed things you can copy to display the image! You copy the text in that white area, and paste the different options in for these results:
~ "Link" shows a short text link to the picture, just like this:
fav.me/d7afm1e
~ "Embed" is used on other websites, where you would use HTML code to show a picture. DeviantArt comments don't allow me to demonstrate... but you could copy that to other sites if you wanted to.
~ And "Thumb" posts a tiiiny thumbnail version of the picture in chats, comments, journals, and wherever else DA allows thumbs! Except, I think it's a Premium member privilege, unfortunately... /:3 Here's what it does for me:
