tried-failed like all my other arts sigh, i just cant seem to get better...i wish someone could tell me what i'm doing wrong... :/edward elric fullmetal achemist brotherhood.
edit: thanks everyone for the wonderful and helpful comments ^^ i still think this piece needs a lot of improving-but i'll study poses and references hard for future drawings XD

this is an awesome piece! i really dont see why (or how) you would improve this! but i guess if you want any advice maybe his torso should be a tiny bit shor- er i mean smaller

Ha! I laugh at your modesty. Just don't over pressure yourself and things will run smoothly. i know trying the first time i felt like a total failure, but as the saying goes, try, try again!

I'm having the same trouble. Just experiment with poses and styles. Ultimately it will end up with you having the improved skills you want. Just keep trying.

It actually looks very nice! The clothing is moving very nicely, as are all of the joints. If you would like a tip, I would try making the torso only a tiny bit shorter- but other than that, I love how the back arches and he is grimacing in pain. The colors go nicely as well, making it a gorgeous piece of art! It is one of pure genius.
