Aww yiss, going back to my roots with demonic, horrific, and macabre art that I did a crap-ton of in my junior highschool years! I feel this form of art is my most refined in my skills as an artist, and I'm damn proud of this piece!! Done entirely with ball-point pen on standard 8x11 printer paper, slightly darkened with the sorcery of photoshop.

A little side-info on the creation of this-- This piece is HEAVILY inspired by Warhammer 40k (lotsa Chaos-influenced imagery here), a series I've had interest in for years, but could never get a steady grasp on its super-dense lore... Until very recently that is. I haven't covered the entire grounds of it (still gotta cover things like all the xenos races and the horus heresy), but I've become pretty enraptured in the art style and brutal setting of the universe of 40k, and I found it totally suiting the style I love to draw so much but have strayed off of.

So now I come back with an ol' OC of mine, completing a summoning rite to bring forth these two lovely demon-ladies to do his bidding >) The visage of the furtive god S'Akriat looms overhead, watching in anticipation as Tiergan, one of his most favored disciples, prepares for the mission assigned to him.

Bleh, more development of the story behind this to come, I'll try to cover questions beghind it this time without revealing too much, but for now take this art as the first among many science-fiction stuff I've been wanting to do, but had difficulty getting a grasp over (though I won't abandon the more stylized, animu/fantasy arts I've grown to love). I will likely do some tribute Warhammer fanart as well, so that'll be fun
