PYRO WHAT DID YOU DO D:My Blue Pyro from TF2 costume that I wore to Fanime 2009. Full description here.
In a stunning display of universal timing, we were walking to the convention center when this fire truck pulled up right next to where we were waiting to cross.

I used the exact same style of mask for my Pyro cosplay. Spray-painted it black and everything.

How well did the spray paint work on yours? Mine was flaking off all over the place.

Mine worked pretty well. I just used dollar Home Depot stuff for mine, if that helps. I hope the flaking wasn't the paint eating the rubber off your mask; my friend warned me that might happen.

Eek. I don't think that was it, thankfully, I think it was just the paint not sticking well.

Well I'm not sure how it currently looks, since it's on a shelf in my closet, but about half the paint was flaked off by the end of the weekend.

I hear acryllic paint won't come off unless you wash it off.

Hrmm, that's a good idea. I've been working with acrylics in class and ruined several brushes from being too lazy to wash them off right away.
