I think it wasn't necessary. I don't love Zygarde but I don't hate him. The problem is that Game Freaks makes the way to obtain the new forms harder. For example : Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. Yeah... Enough for me... Mega-Evolutions : like Digimons (I heard about that). For me, you give an item to your pokemon, it changes it's form, that's all.
