Well take away the time it takes to model, texture and rig the models and render panels, set up the lighting, etc etc - just doing the rough panel layout sketches and then post render work, i'd say maybe 2 to 4 days, I like to leave my work to stew for a day or so and go back to it so i can't fix anything i may have missed.

Really??? WOW ! That much time just for this part! The whole thing must take you 3 times that from the designing to the end... I admire your patience... And do you do all your designs by yourself??? For me, it's the hardest part... to figure out where each part goes and how things goes together and fits. That's why it takes me a long time before I finish only one picture. Maybe it's because I think too much...

Ha - patience certainly is a hard thing to attain, let alone sustain! The bulk of my TF work is mostly designed by other far more stylish & mechanically talented artists than me, such as *EJ-Su , *markerguru , *Guidoarts , ~mmatere , *Caliber316 , ~glovestudios and ~JT-blueart , to just name my faves off the top 'o my head!
With my other work, the personal project I work on from time to time is 100% my own desings, all influenced by a wide range of artists, movies and cartoons 
Figuring out all the mechanics and movement and functionality is all part of the fun - but don't get too carried away with it, cause that in itself is very fun to do. I get stuck on that most of the time - just designing and refining.
Other than that, just get into it!

Well, next time I'll draw a transformer, I think I'll use one of my toys to use it as a "mechanical" example. Nothing better than observation. This is some amazing artwork. I'm impressed by the way it makes me feel like I'm in a dimly lit area with dozens of computer monitors as the only light.
The first panel makes my eyes hurt after a while, but that's actually a compliment! You did it so well my eyes think they're actually in the situation and start hurting just as they do when I stare at monitors in the dark.

this is a masterpiece, you have REALLY outdone yourself, this is the best piece you've done bar NONE.
I've always wanted to see someone successfully make TF comics in 3D, but designed for still imagery and not just "screen caps" of animation, this looks made for the comic page.
I tried to do something like it like, gosh, almost a decade ago now, and I failed miserably due to lack of professional 3d skillz :-P
Its good to see someone finally succeeding in that concept!
