EDIT: Opened up her eyes, fixed lips and shading around face and nose. She's a lot prettier now! :3My first entry for the "Dreams: Bring Your Vision to Life" Contest.
The mermaid escapes from the world where she had lived all of her life and where was expected to end it. As she leaps, she lets her dreams shape who she is, hence her wing-like ears.
My dream is to escape from what is generally expected of me by the world and to become something better.

What I really like about this one is the florescent eyes and the colorful hair. I think that's a good feature. Good dynamic pose. Catches the eye with movement.

Really like this as with all of your digital work. Your stuff definitely has your mark on it and makes it recognisable as yours and nobody elses.
In this drawing, has the mermaid lept from the water or is she still in it. I can't quite tell although your description suggests she's left the water or is partially emerged from the water. If this is the case I feel that there should be a little more glistening on her skin to highlight water running off her.

This is awesome, the body proportion looks a little off to me though I want to say I haven't seen many drawings from this point of view (people wise). Well done. <3 I especially love the coloring, and good luck with the contest.
