Description
Probably the epitome of dastardly devilry. People forgot how in the original Star Wars movies from the 70's and 80's Darth Vader was once described by Obi-Wan as a man and a heroic fighter pilot. That's how GOOD of a VILLAIN he was. He completely overshadowed every concept of his past by his present deeds and the sheer faceless nature of his empty mask. He was literally evil personified and dominated my nightmares as the most frightening monster to terrorize me in my nocturnal rest periods. But perhaps the best depiction was in Episode III when we see the transformation of an idealistic but misguided young man into the monster he was best known for. What could be worse than hating yourself for destroying the ones you love? Thusly, Darth Vader did truly rise from his fall.Related content

Yeah, but he has a face. Faceless evil is more psychologically frightening and disturbing because you can't read it. That's why Georgie Porgie made the storm troopers appear in a similarly faceless image, because when you create evil en-masse like in WWII, when everyone looks the same (I'm thinking of Hitler's dream of creating an ideal army blonde hair and blue eyed soldiers in a very prototypical fashion, here) it becomes scary that individualism is eradicated. That's why Vader is here over the Emperor, even if the Emperor should be the overall example of villainry in Star Wars, because Vader could be transposed as ANYONE, rather than an individual. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Besides, Vader was a bad-@$$. The Emperor was a lazy old man spending all his time sitting in a tasteless chair

Ther's something in it.We are frequently afraid of what we don't know, fter we know it's not so bad anymore.
It seems so at first sightVader's perfect villain, scary cause of mechanical look, mostly ruthless and he has dignity too.Public face of Empire represents it's wickedness or power.Cool and definitely more impressive than the Emperor - but that's the Emperors plan, exactly.
At second sight we found Vader must do what he's bidden-no way out for him.How his master must be evil and powerfull if Vader is willing to submit to his will?
I agree,Palpatine looks like old lazy man, but it's his smart plan

There's so many villains in movie and game history, that it's really tough to pick a top ten. But if I had to pick only one villain from the Star Wars saga, Vader would have to be it. After recently seeing X-Men First Class, partly because of the added depth they gave Magneto/Erik Lensherr, And partly because Michael Fassbender is SO awesome in his craft, I would choose him from the X-Men saga to represent the villain side for that franchise. They would be in my top ten somewhere . . . as for the other eight, I would have to give that some serious thought.
