Say what you want about The Lion Guard, but it does actually have some pretty good songs for a kids show. This being one of them. It’s great to have a father-son moment between Simba and Kion since it kinda seems like they have a strained relationship sometimes.

I actually found TLG to be very enjoyable. I loved the relationship between Kion and Simba. I wasn't a fan of Kiara though. Her original personality from TLK was better, even though I wasn't a fan of her there either. But it surely beats this confident "I have my life planned out" Kiara.

Maybe. If that is their reason, I dont really find it as a good enough excuse tbh, because I'm sure most kids who have seen tlg have seen tlk too.
