Description Homes being torn down
to make room for better people
It starts with a family still inside
As the tank moves
a small boy starts to cry
The fear chokes him
He goes blind

The older boy who escaped
tries to defend his home
throwing rocks at the tank
He is seized by men with AKs
The fear chokes him
wetness drips down his pants

A man teaches his son to pray
in the house of God
until tanks surround them
and soldiers destroy the peace
Three laugh as they fire their weapons
at the son
The father stands over his limp body
in a last act of defiance
More bullets fly, hitting mosaics on the wall
spelling “God, the most merciful” in flowing Arabic script
One shot missed, he’s paralyzed
more laughing as another hits its target
in between his eyes
He falls over his son

This is Palestine
This is Hell

While I am not Palestinian, I am a close neighbor (Lebanese) but even I don't know the horror of living under the Israeli military regime...

Look at this picture.
What do you see there?
I will tell you, you see nobility of IDF soldiers. You see the humanity of IDF soldiers.
Answer honestly, what would happen to child if it had happened in other countries?
What if this was your country? What if it was the other Arab countries?
I will answer you, the boy would turn to dust.
But the boy knows that IDF soldiers will not do anything to him, so he is not afraid.
IDF is the most moral army in the world.
Think of yourself as a parent, would you send your child, your the most precious thing  to the front?
Palestinians do not care even send their children to carry out suicide attacks (www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jx8tq… .
What does this mean about them?
When you hear about "innocent Palestinian child" who was killed, do you imagine that the IDF's killing children in their sleep.
But the truth is that the Palestinians do. Please learn about the Itamar attack (www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGgb0v… .

By all means Isreal is NOT the most moral army in the world, to even consider that would be downright offensive to every other group of people, there is no such thing as the most "moral army". And while Palestinians aren't ALL innocent, Isreal has not been the most kindest nation either, invading the Gaza Strip, settling homes and settlements in areas that were specifically said not to be used for settlements, I'm not praising or condemning Isreal and Palestinine, I'm just stating that you can't praise one without looking at the other

You did a really good job on this. Its sad how some people can be fighting, and it just effects us all. people hate, wars kill, and there is nothing we can do about it but try to clean up the after math. these stories are sad, and there are probably more to be told. you did a good job in capturing the dramaticy of the situation, and you're even trying to help the cause by telling people donations would be good and where they can send them too.
Its a wonderful poem.

But I meant that literally, fear can make you lose your eyesight. When your brain decides its better for you not to see what's in front of you, it permanently shuts down eyesight. Therapy hasn't helped the kid last I heard
