My breath got stuck in my throat.
Heβs beautiful, in that torn and daunting, jet genuine and almost modest way. There is something captivating about this picture. No. There is something captivating about the way his hands grip is face, almost as if trying to shield himself, and the fact that his gazeβs still set straight. There is something captivating about the contrast his skin and the paint create, and the shadow that falls on his face.
Iβm awestruck.

thank you so much
what caught my attention when i was editing this was the way the make-up was on his hand (its in the shape of a claw) It was a complete accident that the make-up turned that way. But it worked in its favor in my opinion

I love how it looks like he is holdoing a mask and it is running down his arm, changing him.

Alienated....yes, for so long....Now i live out in the wilderness outside a small-ish town in Arizona. Nature is so accepting.
Somehow, you appear to have taken off your face, like a mask. The angle of your hands and the way you are holding them and the way the shadows fall do much to create this illusion. Creepy, in a way...And very well done! Great work.

It makes me think of masks...like he's just taken his mask off, or put one on.

I love how half the face is shadowed, and in the other half the eyes are so light they stand out.
Was the paint difficult to wash off?

nah it comes off with soap and water but andrew put eyeliner around his eyes to make it all black. and you cant get the pain in your eye or it stings obviously but when he washed it all off he still had the eyeliner left it looked kinda funny
