Description
English : My favorite little dandy, Asmodeus, prince of hell, demon of Lust and overseer of all the gambling houses in the court of Hell.
Okay, okay, I admit, I got inspired by the layout of the poster of Inglorious Basterds for this one
I'm not very satisfied with how the coloring turned out. But ... well ... I really have to improve my coloring technique. Comments and advises about this are very welcome

Oui, oui, je me suis inspirée de l'affiche du film Inglourious Basterds de Tarentino. Non, non je n'ai toujours pas vu le film !
En fait je ne suis pas vraiment satisfaite du résultat final. J'ai vraiment du mal avec la mise en couleurs. Les commentaires et conseils à ce sujet sont les bienvenus !!!

YOu and i are on the same wave length here...okay get this Asmodeus is a character in a story i'm writing...this is how I described him...no joke and i'm just now seeing your picture, i wrote this like two years ago:
"He was Asmodeus! The Prince of Lust bore blonde locks with a white top hat upon his head. He had a matching gentlemen's suit with a red tie on his chest. His pocket had a lush red cersanthimum and on his hands were white gloves that wrapped around a black cane tipped with a red jem as big as my fist. He had a black star tattooed onto his left cheek. He had ruby-red eyes that peered into my soul."

Hehe ! That's true. Except the hairs and eye color, they are pretty similar. Funny how we made up the same small details. Top hat, white gloves, tatoo on the cheek. Maybe we just read the same litterature about this guy and so we got similar ideas. I read somewhere a description saying he was a gentleman. I think it has pretty much influenced me. Then I thought of him as a dandy-magician and then I thought about the litterature character Arsene Lupin ... Magician, gentleman, womanizer and thief. Hence the top-hat and the gloves !

my god man you may just be a fuckin GENIUS!!! you and i gotta talk more often i'm pretty sure we could help each other with ideas, if i could figure out how to use this damn site's picture uploading thing i'd put in some art of my own, i like to fancy myself a bit of a cartoonist, still practicing and i've drawn Asmodeus plenty of times, both in a human-like form and a demon form...if you give me your email i'd send you a pic as soon as possible...keep up the awesomeness dude, later!

Submitting art is pretty easy. Clic on the "submit" button on top of your DA window, then select "submit art". Choose a Deviation title, add your image file, write some artist comments, give some keywords and clic "Submit". And you're done.

I really like this guy. His clothes in this a really good to, but I'm not too fond of the coloring on this one. Other than that this is a great picture.

It just takes practice. I'm still working on my coloring, but I can see improvements with every picture. Just experiment and see what you come up with.

Pour la couleur, je ne sais pas... Peut-être marquer un peu plus certaines ombres? Mais en fait, moi j'aime bien ce style, avec des dégradés, même si certains pourraient dire que c'est simpliste; je trouve que ça donne un certain cachet, tout de même.

Well, the gorgeous details tend to draw the eye away from the colouring, so you don't really notice that there's not much, and besides, I really quite like the simple colouring on this, I think having it any more flamboyant or anything wouldn't have looked as good.
