How do you connect the two speech bubbles together with that little line?

I used a 2D White "light" item and shrunk it to fit over the overlap of the two bubbles.
Some people find it easier to do it as an edit in a photo-editing program after export.

When naming your new character, you can also create a new category there.

Good point! I forgot about that, when naming new items or characters you can set the category on that screen as well.
