This scene in 'Enterprising Engines' was quite powerful, especially considering the context of the time period when the books came out, as BR had just phased out steam entirely.

One of my favourite moments in the RWS. Very heartfelt scene, particularly as it shows Gordon's genuine concern and his attempts to protect the others from it. Love your artwork so much!

I like all the stories from this book. Very emotional and so it was.
Here I tried to transfer this concern, but finally mixed up with colors and the perspective.
And it's a pity that the only one A3 saved in real life.
