No matter the age, they are so cute together >3< Not like TOGETHER together you sickos. Just hangin' out and playin' music.Tried something new with the shading on this'n, I like it. Kai's face gave me a rough time, I completely erased and redrew it. Human faces are giving me fits lately, because my style is going through puberty and I have to literally reteach myself how to draw. I'm getting SO CLOSE, though.
Perspective seems off to me... but I actually did look at photos that people took with that angle to make sure I didn't fuck it up. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm XD

Edit: TRUFAX. I forgot Megami's hair color while doing this. I was all, "It's grey andddd... something." Obviously I looked up a ref but decided it's just grey now. I think I'm over my two-color hair phase.

It was easier because her arm was chubby and round ;D I have a harder time with adult arms. As it is, she reminds me of a Cabbage Patch Kid. XD

Thank you! And yes. As I said, it probably doesn't look perfect, but if you imagine his arm is bent a bit maybe it works!

I never seem to do well when I attempt to use real photos for reference, it always throws me off in some way or another with the angles. xD I just need to work on perspective I think. I rather decently fail at it.

Photo reference can be tricky. I try just to use it as REFERENCE and not copy it line for line, you know? I like to keep a folder full of images I like and scroll through them for inspiration when I am stuck for a certain technique.

i've always saw her as having gray hair that's kinda blue gray in low light.

That's kinda what I had wanted; to give it an iridescent sheen. I should actually try to render that realistically sometime.

idk about realistically i just know that if/when i color a meg i use a low opacity blue instead of abusing the burn tool.
