How agonizing it must be to know you may have to sentence the man you love to death for treason...Of course, it wasn't death, it was imprisonment for LIFE or something like that, since this is a kid's comic
But anyway, the Mecha Madness storyline is still my all-time favorite and I've always had an odd attraction to the outfit she wore in Sonic's trial afterward. I drew it from memory, though, so I'm sure there are inaccuracies. And of course there weren't any soaring castles in Knothole at the time. That woulda kinda given away their whereabouts 
The coloring didn't come out too well because of ghosting from other drawings on the paper... If I had any damn sense I woulda photocopied or scanned the lineart. But I don't have any damn sense so the coloring's kinda "blah." And I inked this at work when I lacked a ruler so the lines are crazy-like. But I love Sally and you should too and I love drawing her she's so pretty and I've been wanting to draw more Sonic fanart lately Sally

You know, the original satam serious could've done a future "What If" if ABC was n't so hung up on finishing it in Judgement Day.
I always have ideas of what happens later on, way way later, conspiracy against the Kingdom after Sally is QUeen, etc...
Mobius could be an excellent set for everything goes storylines after Robotnik.
And I say this version really is far better than the comic could ever be.

This is great ^^ You're too hard on yourself, Jenn :3 Who cares if the lighting isn't 100% accurate? It still looks good. You have a great style. I loved Mecha Madness too. The fight between Mecha Sonic and Mecha Knuckles was awesome! The coloring is t3h sw33t *-* This is an instant +fav.
PS. My cat is evil and tore apart my Mecha Madness comic, along with whatever was rest of my Sonic the Hedgehog comic collection, so I can't reminisce ;-;

Yes, that was one of my favorite storylines in the comic as well! I also liked Super Sonic Vs. Hyper Knuckles . . . but Mecha Madness was better

Ah, Mecha Madness was one of my favorite storylines. =3 Sally looks lovely here. ^-^ Not used to seeing her with that kind of face, actually, but it is your style so it's cool. It's 50 million times better than Dave Manak's version for sure!! Well done indeed. ^-^

I acutally think the coloring is working great here.. it feels warmly lit, which it would be, with that rich sunset going on. I love how you handle texture when you color. A lot of the time when people use color pencils they don't bother to differentiate surface textures, but I see fur, stone, and leaves defined very nicely. n_n

Okay, as being "Biggestsonicfan" I know issue 40 like the back of my hand. Sally had a Tiara, not a full on crown. Her septor had no fur lining, and it was long, with a circle and and an accorn in the middle with a cross holding it in (just a rotated "X"). Also, I believe she did not have a collar, it came down to a point, like a coat. If you want, I can scan it and send it to you. Oh, and one ofhter thing, why do you not fly the flag of Accorn in the background, not just some blue flag?

Absolutely superb! This is by far the BEST anthromorphic picture of Sally Accorn I have ever seen! Sally is flawless (well, she doesn't have wiskers, but that is besides the point), the eyes, the posture, the pose..simply remarkable! It almost seems as if she had sentenced Sonic to death, but she knows not to feel happy or sad. I see a lot of emotion here. I will be honorored to have this among my favorites, and if you don't mind, I would like to print a poster sized one for my wall. Now that says a lot right there! I absolutely posotively love this pic!!!

Anyway, I like the style you draw Sally in, since she normally doesn't look very much like a... ground squirrel? I never did understand how Archie could say her father was a squirrel when he had a foxes tail, go figure. The colouring may not be the best because of the ghosting but it still turned out very well. Nice attention to detail with the morning light 'reflecting' off her outfit as well as the scenery.

Sally's father is a Ground Squirrel, and her mother is a Chipmunk. So Sal is half and half. It really made sence to me.

I'm sad to know that I do not have the rest of the Mecha Madness story, the part(s) about the trial. I only have the super special. Even though I don't by the comic anymore I still would love to have the older issues that I could never find.

Ah, yes. The Mecha Madness Arc. ...The first issue of that series is one of the... Two issues I'm sure of owning. XD So, believe it or not, I actually have some vague idea of what's going on.
Aaanyway, back to the image at hand. XD Beautiful work, as always. Personally, I see no "blah" in the coloring, not to mention a lack of any ghosting. I think you might be a bit too hard on yourself, but that's probably been said over and over.
Who cares about the glaring inaccuracies? XD I'm sure, if you looked hard enough online, you'd find at least one FanFic with this exact scene in it. Don't tempt me to include File-Sharing programs in the search. =3
