I wanted to try to draw Kira...it turned out better then I thought it would, at least it looks like her...her lips are all funky though...blehThe Dark Crystal was one of my favorite movies growing up. (along with The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, Labrynth and all that good stuff) I haven't even seen it in a couple of years, and that makes me sad.
I've alway loved the way Jen and Kira look, they are so pretty, and thier clothes have all this mad crazy detail. Anyway, decided I wanted to draw some stuff from the movie, so I did this little sketch because I wanted to see if I could draw a gelfling and have it look right. I just added a little light color near the end...I think it looks nice like that.

That is so pretty! I don't know what she's from though, but ya gotta love being a child of the 80's and growing up watching the weird funky things that came out at the time. I used to watch Princess Bride, like, EVERY day. That and Peewee's Big Adventure.

I love the dark crystal too.. The clothes the gelflings wore were really beautiful.. lots of intricate little patterns everywhere.. Even the skesis were kinda cool (even though they scared the bejesus out of me!).. and how cool was fizgig?

The Drak Crystal was a nawx0m movie. I hardly remember it though. At first I thought this was Chi ;;. Nice pic though, has that Jim Henson feel to it.

rad. you did a great job on her, even in the teeny thumbnail on the main page I knew immediately who it was. I love the colour, and I love the way you did the eyes, and the detail in the outfit and hair. really nice work!

yeah man he was horrifying. know who was worse than the prime minister though?
the old, dying king guy. holy crap. I didn't like those birds enough already but when they start being all old and rot-looking.. I start to get a little bit scared.
it's like I'm surrounded by freaking ewoks or something.
okay, I just gave myself the creeps. hehe.
