No knee mods anymore, but I did still do some basic stuff. I removed some of the excess cover PVC that hindered the shoulders, did the same for the back of the waist and some of the ball sockets for his tail, and painted around the eyes/etc.Related content

because I have this figure too, but mine can't hold his tail like yours. or did you just remove the tail from the body to get this pose?

I increased the range of the sockets on the tail, as the description says.Β I also added a transparent, balljointed pin if you're wondering about why it can stay up.

so the tail has one element less? have you left that white holding part or removed it too?
I would really like to see it from another view point.
and my english knowledge is not the best so I sometimes have to ask for things that are actually obvious...

No, the tail isn't missing any of its pieces, neither is it shortened in length.Β The ball sockets were trimmed (so imagine o to O)
If you still don't understand I'll draw a picture, I'm currently reworking the figure altogether so I can't take any photos right now.

Green shows what the trimming led to.Β It just gives the balljoints more room to move.Β I also buffered the edges with CA glue once done so it wouldn't just sag through the PVC.Β I did this for the majority of the segments, one or 2 were left alone.Β I also wouldn't suggest doing it at the risk of ruining the sockets, but I work with toys/fix them often so I tend to have a clue as to what I'm doing.

okay. I don't know if I would dare to do this, because if you trimm too much, it probably won't hold anymore and always fall off.
CA Glue?
I wished I could learn how to work with toys like this.
zelu1984 makes lots of figures himself and I'm a little jealous that I can't do so.
people like him take money for commissions but this is just too much for my wallet.

CA glue is just general super glue, I buy a specific thickness and cure spray for what I do though.Β Its high rigidity helps sockets from malforming.
Yeah I like Zelu's work.Β Though, to be fair, I do similar work.Β Not much for commission because I don't like doing stuff beyond making myself things, but I do raw joint fixes for people with POM (I don't post pictures though).
Either way, the only commissions I really take are scratch builds (joints aside), which are very expensive.Β Working on one right now for $650.

To cure the glue without having to wait.
I do hurt myself, but the cure spray isn't for that.

I don't know what cure means for you, but I only know it for healing and also the translator sais that.

It does, but it also means a solution cure/etc.Β In this case, you could think of it as it being instant dry spray, but people use the term cure for glues almost all of the time.

Dry isn't necessarily meant, but it's easier here.Β It's a solution, a cure, when the CA glue hits oxygen.Β I apologize for using cure, I don't know why you're making a big deal out of it though.

I'm pretty sure he's sold out for a good price on most sites. I'd try to nab one of the $70 US imported ones, I guess.. Or try to wait it out and try your luck waiting on Amiami/hobby search.
