I was first thinking of using quotes that only triggers in the companions "homes", like Merrills;
"By the Dread Wolf! Why is my house always a mess when people are here? It's clean sometimes, I swear." and so on.
But... nah! ^^
Which one should I do next?

I like Merril and all but there was something about Leliana that made me want to romance her that the characters of Dragon Age 2 just don't seem to have.

Uh, in the Sound tab of the game options, you can turn the volume of the voices up, and the sounds - down. It's not like it's possible to hear anything otherwise, and dialogs is what makes the game tolerable.
