Very, very impressive and it brings me back to flicking through the LEGO catalogues as a child and salivating over the scenes like this that they had with all the new playsets.

LOVE THIS!!! So many wonderful memories were just brought back with this 3d render. Thank you.
I envy your technical skill. It's hard for me to tell at times if you really used 3d max or if this is a picture of a store display. I'm especially mesmerized by your effectiveness in creating the believable transparency in the lights and windows. I also love the detail you put into the textures of each buildings and elements to really create the feeling that you built these brick by brick in 3d max (which if you did, why are you still sane?).
great work!

This is as good as it gets if you're trying to make a CGI image look real; not only is it flawless, it doesn't show anything that's difficult to believe, so it doesn't invite suspicious of fakery.

I know Lego by touch, by smell, and by taste. I saw this and flashed back to all three. The clear red 1x1 taillights on the 'cargo' truck are very small and very real. The light actually does that when they're mounted on something.

wow... just. wow!
I love the attention to detail. like all the people and their choice of cloths and position. I love the fact that you see people in windows and on bikes and in cars and what not. Just well done.

Impressive work,if it weren't for the grey shades,I'd say it was a picture.
The only thing which gives it away is the lack of color bleed and color reflection in some spots
Congrats

Impressive 3D work. Although I can't help but think it would probably be much faster to simply build the town and take a photo... ah, the wonders of technology.

THAT'S EPIC
question, did you measure lego blocks and do it that way, or did you 3d scan legos?

I measured it the lego blocks.

I love it.
Little nitpicks:
The whole scene could use a dose of depth-of-field effect. A little bit would go a long way towards photorealism considering the macro shot that this would be equivalent to irl (the trees in the background, for example, are too sharp). The depth-of-field blur would also help mask the characteristic shadow noise from using the skylight with too few samples, especially in the gray building on the right and some of the darker shadows on the yellow building. Sky and mountains are a little iffy, but not distracting.
5/5
