Description
You liked Celestia so much so why the heck not?I pictured Celestia as the artillery and Luna as the close combat specialist.
The blade infront of her is the Star, the one on her flank is the Lunar Sickle. To make things clear, none of these are to be wielded using ones mouth. There are no handles or hilts, just insanely sharp edges.
Why is the chest thing holding the Star? Answer: magic armor, it is part of the set bonus
Now she can use her magic on other things, such as throwing her sickle around.But seriously, horn glow would have fudged things up, so I went with the lesser of four evils. The third option having it just hang there with no effects at all. The fourth... having her hair hold it?

In my head, Luna is the fighter between the two. While Celestia is kind of manipulative of others to get shit done, Luna tries to be active whenever she can. Part of the reason I love her is how much she loves the citizens of Equestria to try and befriend and actively protect them. Of course the counter argument is Luna isn't the ruling princess and Celestia is always so busy, yet the counter counter argument is she can pretty much pop out of hammer space and any moment, hell she falls out of the sky to retrieve a letter!

This is pretty sweet. When I saw the title I thought,
"Ooh, Luna in Nightmare Moon armour. How original."
Then I actually saw it.
"THIS IS BADASS!"

Someone else mentioned Irelia and after Googling pics I can see some resemblance.
But to answer your question: No, I had no outside influences in the making of this pic, it just popped into my head.
