Well, he was originally a tiefling bc he was tricked into signing a pact with a yugoloth, but we destroyed that contract and he was human again for a while. We recently ran into a devil who's "helping" us right now, and he decided to make a deal with her(cuz he really didn't mind being a tiefling, and he mostly wanted to change back so his family would accept him). In exchange for his new powers, he eventually has to uncover some pitfiends who are planning to overthrow Asmodeus.
