Description
Old contest entry for 's contest from yesteryear. It's her characters Remus and Vulpes.Random Story Thing That Was Written For It At The Time~
Vulpes padded through the snow, it was cold tonight, even her fur wasn't keeping her entirely warm. She glanced upwards at the star covered sky and thought of her mate, Citheon. She stopped and gritted her teeth, a single tear ran down her face. Citheon was never nice to her, all she ever got from him was insults. Never love. Vulpes sighed. Would Citheon ever be loving to me like he was when we met? She thought sadly, or will I have to escape this?
Vuples didn't know how long she had sat there, or how many tears had ran down her face. Her head hung low and her ears were pointed back. She knew Citheon would never change. He would never be like he used to be. Suddenly something caught her eye. She looked up into the trees surronding her and heard russelling. She bared her teeth and snarled. Who, or whatever this was it wasn't going to hurt her.
Suddenly Remus jumped out of the bushes. Vulpes had seen him around often and sometimes talked to him. He was always nice to her and made her happy so, she stopped baring her teeth and just sat with her head hug low once more.
"Hey Vulpes you okay?" Asked Remus, he then frowned at her tear stained face. "Whats wrong?" He sat down next to her.
"It's nothing..."She began.
"Its Citheon again, isen't it?" Remus interupted.
"Yes... I just can't take it anymore." She said, crying.
"Aw, sweetie, it's alright. He's not here now is he? And it's alright, I'll protect you from him." Remus nuzzled her neck gently. Vulpes looked at him.
"Remus..."
"Yes?"
"Remus, I ... I..." Vulpes closed her eyes. She had suddenly realised why Remus had always made her this happy, how he could cheer her up, reardless of the situation.
"I know Vulpes." He looked into her eyes. "I have always felt the same about you." Vulpes eyes swelled with tears once again and Remus smiled. He took her paw in his and with the other caressed her face.
"I love you." He whispered. Their face got closer and closer untill their muzzles met and they kissed. Remus could see every tear clinging to her eyelashes and Vulpes could see all the shades of red in his eyes. As the clouds drifted lazily across the sky, the moon was reviled and light poured across the snow covered ground, love was found.
