Version 2 is now up! I can't believe how big a hit this was 0.0-----
Totally totally opinion based.
The idea behind it: There's a yaoi section of DBZ land, and there's the neutral section. There are several main artists you may pass through and visit while in DBZ land. In order to enter DBZ land, you may optionally take the "DA Highway", which passes through *bri-chan land, *Risachantag land, *AnnouncerGuy land, and ends the borders with *allymcbeal18 land, or you may enter through the "GV" highway which connects to either BV South or DA-West.
On the borders of the DBZ highway, you have Naruto land (Just beyond the Hidden Leaf forest), Square-Enix land (just beyond the mountain range), and/or you may exit completely and go through other general cartoons, including Disney, etc, so you'll have to take DA-North through Bri-chan land.
Other animes are located to the south, though you'll have to take a ship across the river.
This idea has been sitting in my mind for some time now, and I felt the urge to make this tonight just for kicks. If somehow you may find your name located by someone whom you're not particularly friendly with or something, I'm sorry
I don't know a lot of your friendships and acquaintanceships. This is totally a 100% egocentric view of DA, with absolutely zero research put into it.It's totally meant just for humor's sake ^^ I often compare the DBZ corner of DA to a map, and that's pretty much the inspiration I had to do this.

Another note: If you would like to be moved, and/or you've been left out and have a particular place on the map you'd like to be, don't feel afraid to comment, and I'll change it. I totally don't mean ANY offense or anything by this pic, and I'll do my best to accomodate you ^^

Please be mindful that this is entirely egocentric. If I were to do an accurate map, I'd do research on pageviews, popularity polls, cliques of friends, and gallery variations. This map is totally 100% how *I* view DA, and there are some whom I have never heard of and some who are popular, but I don't really personally view them as major landmarks to me.
This map started out as a joke, but as more people started coming across it, I've been adding names bit by bit, and to do a truly accurate map, I'd have to redo the whole thing and draw a whole atlas!
The entire thing was to be a cute idea. I was going to post it for a few hours and then take it down. I usually do that with my 30-minute comedy doodles, but the popularity of the map saved it from certain doom, and now people are trying to take it seriously : (
I'm thrilled that it's so popular and so many people have come to view it, but I also know there are hundreds, and perhaps even thousands, of names that I have not included. I personally have no idea how big this dragonball community is. There are greater known artists and lesser known artists whom I may never ever get around to meeting. I only can name about 80 Dragonball artists off the top of my head before I start to strain to think of any more, and the most significant ones of them are mapped, though I did leave one out by accident and she'll be on the 3rd version when I get it done.
I know some people on the map may not get along. I have no idea who is friends with who. I only speak with a handful of DA artists on messenger, and of those, I only know maybe one or two of their close friends, so I made sure to keep those people close, but everyone else was just a personal educated guess as to where they may possibly lie.
Only one person so far has had a problem, though I fixed what I could of it. The overwhelming majority think it's a cute and original idea, and are totally 100% right in assuming that it's mostly a joke. It WOULD be humorous for me to hear of people talking of others regionally. I've always considered the yaoi section of DA to be its own land, though I always compared it to Barcelona in Spain, which constantly fights with the rest of Spain and has its own language and wants to be its own nation, but there's no possible way to break away because it IS still Spain. I just kinda made a joke of it while talking to ally, and quickly doodled the map to show her, and she loved it so much, she asked if she could put it in her journal, meaning I'd be submitting it to DA (which I wasn't gonna originally even do).
When I do version 3, all the new names, no matter what, are going to be small, even though it may not be a "fair representation", unfortunately, because most everyone who requested to be on Version 3 is a totally new person to me, and I dont know anything about them. If you like, I'll submit your name too, but please realize by default, in my mind (which is 100% egocentric, as in, i see the world from MY point of view, not from others'), you'd be placed a bit west of gegemun because you're into the yaoi scene, except it's among Trunks/Gohan and Trunks/Goten. In IRL terms, I'd probably say you're more along the lines of Valencia in Spain instead of Barcelona.

I doesn't matter to me if you put my name in the version three, because I think the original one is just fine as it is. It's nice to meet you as well! Seriously, this was a very clever idea, and very unique. I hope it doesn't become oppressive, adding all those names!

There's mountains and a forest below the river, so i mean, you'll be a little alienated from the crowd, but it'll be tons easier to fit you onto the map without overcrowding it ^^

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, are most of these "locations" on the map those of artists that draw? I was wondering if there were any sort of fan fic writers of DBZ on the map.

To tell the truth, I totally forgot about the fanfic writers of DBZland!!! You're in luck. I actually have an entire portion of my map cropped for this. There's a heck of a lot more land. Lemme carve out a little area for you guys along the eastern coast. If you have any fanfic DBZ friends on DA you'd like to nominate, feel free!!! You'll have more company that way : )

Very clever idea! What a great way to show it. Though I'm not personally huge myself, I am in the DBZ fandom and believe if I'd end up hidden in a corner of the forest or perhaps on my own little island somehow. XD Nice work!
