A pict I did for cus i love her. 32 hours on computer. sketch [link] . This is the drawing i was blabbing about in my journal and its finally done. dont expect much out of me for a while. This is going imidiately to prints. I hope you all like it!

alot of experimentation, I put several layers of different sized air brush circles, using red, orange and yellow, and changed the layer effects and messed with it till i got what i wanted.

beautiful....esp. the front slice(the figure, the near wall and the carpet).... such wonderful details....the folds on the robe, the stones, the roses, the threads from the lamp.... nice ida of the sleeves.... the robe has a look like it's mde of some plastic.... kind of like the stuff of stillsuits...(you know dune, right?)... beautiful figure too....
one thing i dont get is why the other light-sources? i think it would be much nicer(and woul emphasise the main idea if i got it right) if the lamp was the only one, with the courtyard(or whatever it is that is seen from that winow) would be all dark and gloomy.....

teehee, yea it would have to be plastic. thanks. Perhaps, though thats really gutsy, and this peice was a breakthrough in so many other things i didnt want to push my luck. Now that i look back i really dont like the moonlight i had at the right, its not even fitting or in the rest of the pict... but i messed up shading, so i had to have another lightsource. I should have toned down the lanterns in the back/courtyard too, they are huge... also i think the perspective on that stuff back there is WAY off. *sigh* But there is so much i still like about the peice, Apart from my new one with the rain I count Lantern as my best, it just has a certain mood that is so strong and capturing, some of my later digi peices lack that.

Very good, the coloring is great and the lighting is superb. I see some of your other stuff of the same genre and the designs are wonderful, I was wondering, would you mind if I used some of these designs and created sprites (pixelated characters usually used for video games) of them?

neither was I. I had to force myself to sit longer and longer each time i colored a pict. I started with 30 min and a few years later I can do 32 hours! hehe
