Actually, I think toward the end they did form a certain bond. They were the only two who managed to stay Princes, and they were the only ones who thought most of the stuff they had to deal with for the coterie was bullshit. Andovich liked Pavel a little...c'mon...admit it.

Yeah, even though he was mad about the whole rune thing (Robert DMed that badly - my 30+ successes to locate it should have overcome your terrible art roll to hide it, but Robert bent and broke the rules because he didn't want me to find it) Andovich found Pavel as the most reliable, and ALMOST trustworthy, though he didn't trust anyone. But since Pavel seemed to have the best interests of Ando's homeland at heart, that was a big positive in his book.
